You can search the database without registration but
you will not be able to make contacts with members. You need to be
a registered member to take advantage of the site's facilities.

I have not received the email with the confirmation link; can you help?
Possible reasons why you have not received the email
with the confirmation link:

You have misspelled your email address.
Check it through the link "Click here to change your
EMAIL address" on the Home page of your account (you must be
logged in);
-
It was deleted by your provider as possible
spam. Check your "Junk Mail" folder, if you have
one in your account - it may be there. Add the email address confirm@soulmades.com.au
to your Address Book and send yourself another confirmation
email.
If all above fails, try a different email
address. The confirmation email is sent automatically by the
website and can be considered as spam by some Junk Mail filters. The
sensitivity of the filter depends on your provider.

What membership options do you offer?
Membership to Soulmades is free and you can start
contacting other members (send and receive Hi's) as soon as you have completed the registration
process and confirmed your email address. However, if you want to
email other members or read their emails, you need to purchase a subscription. We offer
two types of upgrade to your free membership: subscription to contact
ANY member and 'Free Contact' service, which allows any member to
contact YOU free of charge. To purchase 'Free Contact' service you
must have a valid subscription, or you can purchase these services
together. You can review current subscription prices and special
offers by clicking on the link 'Upgrade' on the top bar of links (you
must be logged in).

What is the difference between membership and
subscription?
Membership to Soulmades is free and everybody becomes
a member as soon as his or her profile is approved. Subscription is a
paid service, which allows you to email other members.

Simply click on the link 'Upgrade' on the top bar of
links (you must be logged in). All available upgrade options will
be listed for you there.

What type of photos are allowed?
We have certain requirements to the photos you submit:

It must be YOUR photo - no pets, cars, houses,
celebrities, cartoons etc.

You must be alone in the photo - no other
recognizable people.

Your face should be visible - no photos of body
parts.
-
No obscene or vulgar photos;
-
No visible contact information, copyright marks,
addresses of websites etc.
-
The photo should be properly positioned and there
should not be any white space around the photo.
All other photos are acceptable.

My photo was deleted, why?
Your photo may be deleted by administration due to the following reasons:
-
It was not YOUR photo. It was a picture of a cartoon character, a photo of your pet,
a celebrity etc. (If you are a celebrity, and it was
your own photo, we may need to confirm it with you - but you are
very welcome; please contact
us and we will sort it out in no time)
-
There were other recognizable people in the photo.
-
Your photo could be considered as obscene or
vulgar.
-
Your face was not visible.
-
You had some visible contact information on your
photo: email address, website address, phone number etc, or a
copyright mark.
-
Your photo wasn't properly uploaded: the file
didn't open, or it uploaded only partially;
-
You uploaded the same photo several times (this
may happen if you hit the button "Upload" repeatedly).
Those types of photos are not allowed. Please replace
them with the photos that are allowed for publication on our website
(see above).

How can I view additional photos of Members?
You need to be a subscriber to view additional photos
of members. Non-subscribers can view the main photo in profiles free of
charge. To subscribe, click on the link 'Upgrade' on the top bar of
links (you must be logged in). All available upgrade options will
be listed for you there.

I tried to send a photo with a message and got
an error, can you help?
Usually it happens when the file with your photo is
too large. The photo may appear small but it can be large in kilobytes. Check the size of the photo by right clicking on it and selecting the button "Properties". You can send through the site photos
not larger than 300 kilobytes. If your photos are larger than 300 Kb,
you need to make them smaller first. You can change the size of the photo through any image editing program. 'Paint' image
editing program is installed by default on all Windows computers and
is accessible through Start menu of your bottom bar (Start - Programs
- Accessories - Paint).

I have a problem with uploading my photo
- please help!
If you cannot upload your photo, or it only uploads
partially, it may be that your
connection is too slow or your photo is too large in size. In both
cases, reducing the size of the file with the photo should
help. Your photo should be in JPEG format. You can change the size
and format of the photo through any image editing program. 'Paint' image
editing program is installed by default on all Windows computers and
is accessible through Start menu of your bottom bar (Start - Programs
- Accessories - Paint).

How can I delete/replace my main photo?
You can manage your photos through the link "Click here to manage your PHOTOS" on the
Home page of your account (you must be logged in). If you only have one photo in your account, you will
be unable to delete your main photo. You need to add another photo,
have it approved, and then you can make the new photo your main photo
and delete the old one.

How do I make contact with other members?
To contact other members you must first register as
a member. It is absolutely FREE to register, no credit card
required. Click
here to register right now.
After you have registered your own profile, it
will be sent to administrator for approval. Once your profile is
approved, you can contact other members (send and receive Hi's).
You can also read messages from other members. However,
if you want to email other members, you need to purchase a
subscription. You can review current subscription prices and special
offers by clicking on the link 'Upgrade' on the top bar of links (you
must be logged in).
You can contact other members by using the functions "Email
me" or "Send 'Hi"

me"
When you press the
button "Email me", you are sending a message through our website's messaging system. The message will
arrive into the member's mailbox on our site. The members
receive
a notification to their email address when there is a message
for them waiting on the site. They can read your message with
one click of mouse.
"Send 'Hi"
When you send 'Hi', the
member receives a notification to their direct email address that there is somebody interested in
them. They can click on the link in this message and view your
profile. The members can also see your 'Hi' when they
log into their account. Sending and answering 'Hi' is free. Once they viewed your profile,
they should answer whether they are interested in hearing from you. Once a
member answered
your 'Hi message, you will receive
an email notification. The answer will be
"Interested" or "Not interested". If they
are interested, you can then email them through the
website.

What is "FREE contact"?
"Free contact" is an add-on service for
people that have a valid subscription. It allows people who are not subscribers to email
you without buying a subscription. Your profile will display the
sign
to show other users they can contact you free of charge.

Why some members' profiles say "Email me FREE"?
When you see the sign in
users' profiles, it means you can email them without buying a
subscription. This service is called "Free contact" and
it can be purchased in addition to the subscription.

How can I open mails from other members?
You can view mails from other members in response to
your ad by clicking on the link "Click here to check your MAIL
MESSAGES". You can also view the profile of the person who sent
you the mail and decide if you are interested in getting to know this
person. You need to be a subscriber to open mails from other
members. (Click here to read about the
difference between membership and subscription.)

When you send 'Hi', the member receives a notification to
their

them. They can click on the link in this message and view your
profile. The members can also see your 'Hi' when they
log into their account. Sending and answering 'Hi' is free. Once they viewed your profile,
they should answer whether they are interested in hearing from you. Once a
member answered
your 'Hi message, you will receive
an email notification. The answer will be
"Interested" or "Not interested". If they
are interested, you can then email them through the website or invite
them for 'Private chat'.

What are the requirements for posting a profile?
Posting your profile on our site is absolutely FREE
but it should meet some basic requirements:

Your profile should include basic information about you and what you are looking for in a partner.

It should not be obscene or vulgar, or promote any illegal, harmful or indecent activities.

Contact information should be included only in the corresponding fields - NOT in your visible profile.
-
The information in your profile should be truthful.
-
Some basic info is required: Empty profiles will NOT be approved.

Please do not include any contact information in your visible profile: NO email addresses, NO phone numbers, NO links to other websites. Such profiles will be refused in publication and if you repeatedly try to sneak your email address into your profile, it
can be deleted.
You are ALLOWED to include your email address, phone number and any other contact information in your personal correspondence with other members. We do not censor correspondence between the members.

My profile was refused, why?
Your profile was most likely refused because of one of
the following reasons:
-
Your profile is basically empty - there is no
information about you and what you are looking for in a partner.
-
There is some gibberish instead of the message and
requirements to a partner (something like "jfkhdkhdjfhdk").
-
Your profile may be considered as obscene or vulgar, or
it promotes some illegal, harmful or indecent activities.
-
Your profile can be considered discriminative or
offensive.
-
Personal contact information is included in visible
fields - email addresses, phone numbers, names and addresses of
other websites are NOT allowed in your visible profile;
-
Something in your profile makes it doubtful that
the information is truthful - for example, if you claim to be Brad
Pitt, we may not approve your profile (unless you can prove you
really are, in which case you are very welcome).
If your profile was refused, please review its
contents and make the necessary changes, and we will approve it asap.

How can I change my profile details?
Login, then click on the link "Click here to
change your PROFILE DETAILS". Remember to SAVE the changes. Your
new updated profile will be sent to administrator for approval. Until
the administrator approves it, the other members can only see the old version of
your profile. Once your updated profile is approved, it will be
available to the public.

I made changes to my profile but my ad does not change, why?
Remember to SAVE the changes to your profile by
pressing the button on the bottom of the page. This is a common reason
for changes not taking place.
Once you saved the profile, there are two versions of
your profile in the system: the old version available to the public
and the newly saved version.
The newly saved version of your profile is immediately sent to administrator for approval. Until the administrator
approves it, you and other members can only see the old version of
your profile. Once your updated profile is approved, it will be
available to the public and you will be able to see the changes.

How can I add more photos to my profile?
Login, then click on the link "Click here to manage your PHOTOS".

How can I delete my profile?
Login, then click on the link "Click here to DELETE your profile".
If you simply need a break and may resume your search in the future,
use the option "HIDE your profile" instead.

How can I change my username/password?
You cannot change your username. To change the
password, login , then click on the link "Click here to change your PASSWORD".

I forgot my password. Can you help?
Click on the link "Login" on the top bar.
Under the login box there is a link "Click here if you have
forgotten your password". You need to provide your email address.
An email with your username and the link to change the password will
be sent to the email address specified in your account. If you do not
remember your email address or do not have access to this email
address anymore, please contact
us.

Click on the link "Login" on the top bar.
Under the login box there is a link "Click here if you have forgotten
your password". You need to provide your email address. An email
with your username will be sent to the email address specified in your
account.

Yes, you can search by multiple parameters. Use Advanced
Search option.

How do I delete old messages?
To delete old messages, check the check boxes in the last column and then hit the button "Delete" under the list of messages.

How do I chat with other members?

You can chat with other members that are online by clicking on the link
"Chat" on the top bar.

You can invite any member to chat in private by clicking on the link
"Private chat" on their personal page.

How can I have my ad in "Featured
profiles"?
You must tick the box "Would you like your profile to be Featured?"
in "More about you" part of your profile. You can do it
through the link "Click here to change MORE INFORMATION ABOUT YOU"
on the Home page of your account. Only profiles with photos can appear
in "Featured".

What are the criteria used for profiles to appear in "Most
popular"?
We cannot disclose the actual formula used for the
profiles to appear in "Most popular" but these are the
criteria that can influence it:

The number of "Hi's" received;
-
The number of "Hi's answered (either
positively or negatively);
-
The number of times the profile was viewed.
If you want your profile to appear in "Most
popular", start answering all your Hi's (either positively or
negatively), and login to the site more often - every time you login,
your profile jumps to the top of search results. And certainly, you
must have a photo in your profile.

How can I unsubscribe from a newsletter?
Login to your account and click on the link "Click
here to manage your newsletter SUBSCRIPTIONS". Un-check the boxes
for the newsletters you don't want to receive.
System messages that are sent when someone sends you a
message or 'Hi' are part of the service. If you don't want to receive
such messages, you must delete your profile.
How do I upgrade my membership?
Click on the button "Upgrade" on the top bar
and you will see all upgrade options available to you. Simply select
the most suitable option and follow the procedure.

I do not have a credit card.
How can I pay?
You can pay money directly into our bank account, send
us check or a money order, or cash. If you are sending check or money
order, please issue it in favor of "Soulmades Pty Ltd" and
send it to our mailing address (Soulmades Pty Ltd, Suite 325/locked
bag 1, Robina Town Centre, Queensland 4230). Please remember to
include your user name and email address, so we can enable your
